CentOS

You know when you install the Apache webserver, it usually comes with a message something like "The fact that you are seeing this page indicates that the website you just visited is either experiencing problems, or is undergoing routine maintenance."
Seems fairly obvious to me. However, the "City Manager" (whatever that is) of Tuttle, Oklahoma, a man with "22 years IT experience" spent ages threatening the Linux distribution "CentOS" with the FBI, getting the media involved, etc, before he realised that he was being an idiot. Here is the exchange of emails. I'm just amazed at how calm and helpful Johnny Hughes remained during all that.
