Salisbury

With all the recent news regarding Salisbury, there has been a lot of TV coverage, and lots of reporters are pronouncing it incorrectly.

I grew up not far from Salisbury, and for some reason this is bothering me significantly more than it should be.

It definitely doesn't end with bury.
It's not Sal-iss-bree.
It's not Sal-iz-bree.
It's not Salz-bree.
It's not Solz-bree (this is the most common mispronunciation)
It's not Sawz-bree (as the Wikipedia article wrongly suggests).

The correct way to pronounce it is Saulz-bree (as in falls and tree).

I can now breathe calmly again.
